Enhancing Attendance Procedures During School Events and Activities in the Assumption College of Nabunturan: Recommendation Report Introduction During school activities, attendance procedures are vital for monitoring student participation and maintaining accurate records. This recommendation report aims to address the challenges of the attendance procedures in A.Y. 2022–2023 during school events and activities at the Assumption College of Nabunturan, wherein these appear to necessitate strategizing enhanced attendance procedures. The purpose of this report is to propose strategies for enhancing attendance procedures and provide practical recommendations that will streamline the attendance process, promote accurate record management, and enhance effective communication between the staff members who are responsible for tracking attendance and the students in order to foster convenience for both parties.
Scope and Methodology The evaluation of the challenges together with the recommendations made in this report are centered on the attendance procedures in A.Y. 2022–2023. Data collection was based on interviews with the students about their observations of the attendance procedures during events and activities in the school.

Inefficient Manual Processes:Using paper-based attendance sheets or spreadsheets for attendance tracking poses data management challenges in terms of the accuracy and reliability of the data.b. Inconsistent Attendance Procedures:The lack of systematized and consistently implemented attendance regulations and processes challenges tracking student participation effectively.c. Communication Gaps:The attendance policy and procedures are not clearly communicated, leading to confusion among students.
Recommendationsa. Implement a Digital Attendance Management System:• Introduce a comprehensive digital attendance management system that automates attendance tracking and gives authorized staff members access to real-time data recording.• To accommodate varying school activity settings and student demographics, the system should provide a variety of attendance methods, such as barcode scanning, which was inconsistently used in previous school events and activities last academic year, and other methods such as biometrics or mobile applications.
a.1. Provide Training and Support:• Prepare training sessions for staff members who are responsible for the attendance tracking to acquaint them with the standardized attendance practices and the digital attendance management system.• Provide technical assistance and system-related resources to cope with any difficulties or queries that may arise throughout the switch to the new system.
b. Standardize Attendance Policies and Procedures:• Develop and explain standardized attendance standards that cover all school events and activities, clearly stating processes and sanctions.• Provide clear and consistent criteria for recording attendance at on-site activities and extracurricular events.
